Peat – A Global Event (£20 / ticket)
Meltons Too, York
Sunday April 25th 2010, 7.30pm
www.meltonstoo.co.uk

You cannot now move for the number of malt lovers who extole the virtues of the peaty whisky, whether it be lightly peated Ardmore or heavily peated Octomore.
Into the arena now come peated whiskies from all over the world – Japan, India, even England! – as distillers and drinkers recognise that good whisky can be made almost anywhere with a will!
This tasting celebrates peat, how it is utilised in the malting process and most importantly, how it affects the final whisky, regardless of where it is from. We will be tasting six whiskies, blind, from all over the world in our ongoing mission to seek out new flavours and we recommend that if you have a taste for the smoky and peaty, that you join us!

As always the tasting is designed to be fun and enjoyable for all levels of whisky drinker, and is not a lecture. You will almost certainly learn something new every time, but if you don’t walk out with a smile on your face then there is something wrong!
This is a whole new set of drams so fear not if you were present last year, and as always the quality is extremely high and the entertainment level is set to 11!

You will not be sent a ticket through the post. Your details will be added to the event register
and all you need to do is print the payment confirmation page and bring it with you to the event.
