York Whisky Lounge Festival 2010
The Guildhall, York
Saturday September 18th 2010, 12.00pm

Never one to rest on our laurels, The York Whisky Lounge Festival has evolved into a two-session event and has also looked at attracting some exciting new exhibitors such as Springbank, The English Whisky Co., Compass Box and The Creative Whisky Company. With around 90 or so whiskies on tasting from all over the world, this is an ideal opportunity to learn more about the universal ‘water of life’. For an in-depth look at a particular subject or distillery, consider booking yourself onto one of our masterclass sessions with an industry expert. These are at a small additional cost but are a rare chance to get ‘up close and personal’ with an expert from the industry.

Sessions are 12pm-4pm or 5pm-9pm

£15 per session

Your paltry entry ticket price includes...

- A Free Glencairn Tasting Glass (worth £4)
- A Festival Guide
- Small bottle of spring water
- No voucher system. That’s right, you are not charged a further amount to taste drams on the day
- No additional booking fee

PLEASE GO TO THE YORK FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL WEBSITE IN ORDER TO BOOK TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT

Jamie Milne – UK Brand Ambassador, Glenfiddich
A first class for Glenfiddich sees Jamie Milne talk through a line-up of great whiskies and talk in-depth about the things that you may not know about this iconic distillery. Glenfiddich was one of the first single malts to be marketed in this country so prepare yourself to be surprised and delighted...

Session 2
6pm-7.15pm Compass Box – Whisky Wizadry!
Chris Maybin, UK Brand Ambassador, Compass Box
New to the Whisky Lounge, but not to the industry, Compass Box have been creating some incredible whiskies for nearly 10 years now. Come and join Chris as he talks you through a fine selection of their concoctions, from vatted malt to vatted grain whisky, and everything in-between!

7pm-8.15pm Best of The Fest! – The Whisky Lounge £15
Eddie Ludlow plus a panel of special guests
Come and join Eddie and some of the luminaries of the whisky industry as they (and you) taste through a selection of very special whiskies not on show in the main hall. These are the kind of whiskies that make grown men faint and swoon and for the discerning whisky expert this should not be missed!
