Edinburgh Whisky Festival 2014 – Half Day

Saturday April 26th 2014, 2.30pm

The Hub 348-350 Castlehill, EH1 2NE

Our second foray with a whisky festival in beautiful Edinburgh!

Once again we are partnering with our friends at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society for this must-do event for all whisky-lovers or those who are whisky ‘curious’. Not only will you have the chance to taste the best of homegrown whiskies from all over Scotland, but we will also have a good selection of whiskies from all over the world for your delectation.

Throw in a smattering of tremendous workshops and ‘Under the Counter’ drams and the fantastic surroundings of The Hub – quite literally named – and you have a fantastic value day out on the cards.

Here’s what each half day ticket includes…

  • Glencairn tasting glass
  • A bottle of water (for obvious purposes)
  • The Festival Guide
  • ALL WHISKIES SAMPLED IN MAIN HALL (not including ‘under the counter’ drams)

If this is your first time to one of our whisky festivals here’s how it works…

Simply approach any of the exhibitor stands, ask politely for a dram and you shall receive a tasty glass of whisky (it really is that simple) Every exhibitor should know their whiskies inside out and it’s well worth taking advantage of this knowledge. They’ll be able to answer all and any whisky related questions you may have and will happily explain why their whisky is so damn tasty. This year we’re running two workshops which can be attended within your ticket price (plus two that cannot) – these cannot be booked in advance but are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day. We will announce these via our Facebook and Twitter in the coming weeks.

Finally here’s a quick video of the Edinburgh Whisky Festival 2013 to help give you an idea of what it’s all about.

These events really are the best way to start your journey into the world of whisky. We are very lucky in that we are able to constantly attract the best the industry has to offer – both in whisky and people. You will find almost every style of whisky represented here, with drams from all over the world on tasting. For one day a year, we bring the distilleries to you!

PLEASE NOTE - We do not send out ‘paper’ tickets. Your details will be added to our event register and you should just bring your PayPal receipt as proof of purchase. If you would like PDF tickets emailed to you as they are a gift for somebody else, please email, stating the names of the recipients.

Exhibitors and workshops will keep appearing here over the coming weeks.

Did you know?

Whisky Fact #20

The American series ‘Mad Men’, set in the glamorous 1950s/60s has helped make whisky cool again. But then we know that already, right?
